Tony Winn: English Teacher
Originally from the historic county of Northumberland in the north-east of England, I have been resident in Portugal for many years and have recently moved from Queijas to Lousã in the district of Coimbra. I love the natural world and walking in the mountains, as well as reading and spending time with my wife and two lovely cats. Here I hope to enjoy all of these activities and more.
I have wide experience as a second language educator. Over recent years I have specialised in English for Academic Purposes (EAP) and IELTS have assisted many international undergraduate and postgraduate students at the University of Sheffield and Lancaster University in achieving their language learning aims. I have an MA in TESOL from Lancaster and a Diploma in teaching English to Adults. I am very happy indeed to return to working with the ELC team as an online English teacher and look forward to helping our students get what they need.
