Natalie Whyte: English Teacher
I am new to ELC and feel so proud to be part of such a warm, supportive, professional, and committed team. I am in awe of the dedication and energy that all who work here display. There is a culture of continuous professional development, quest for excellence and a real love of the vocation. I have a strong interest in education, and I believe I could not be working in a nicer place!
I moved from London to Cascais in 2021. I have worked with under 5-year-olds and managed a day nursery. I spent 10 years in the Employment Service which involved staff and public training. I then worked for 25 years in the National Health Service managing clinical multi-disciplinary teams. Whilst there, I was an Education Lead and part of the Royal College of General Practitioners, supporting and training general practices who were in crisis. After taking early retirement to be able to move permanently to Portugal, I re-trained as an English teacher. I wanted a people facing occupation that could be helpful to others. In my spare time I love hosting friends and family, cooking, eating out, hiking around this lovely region, sailing and skiing.
