So, tell me about yourself
I am from Cascais and I’m 24 years old. I have dual nationality - Portuguese Spanish …. I’m in my last year at university and study architecture.
When did you start studying at ELC?
I started studying at ELC in September 2009.
Why did you start studying here?
I came here to improve my English – it’s very important to communicate, to express ourselves. I sail a lot so it’s necessary to speak in English frequently with other sailors in the competitions. Also it means we can work here or around the world because it’s easier to travel - we have more opportunities with English.
What do you like about studying here?
You can learn and improve English in an easy way here – not like at school. Also with native speaker teachers. I like the classes; they’re fun and not boring at all. You can talk to different people too, younger and older.
What areas do you feel you have made most progress in?
I have improved in everything especially conversation; I think I am much better now at communication, talking.
What advice would you give to younger students?
Teachers will help you! Enjoy classes and practise with some games or movies.
