Hello! So, I’m Jo. Can you tell me about yourself?
I’m from Cascais and I’m 14 years old. I go to Colégio de Luisa Sígea.
When did you start studying at ELC?
I started studying about 6 months ago, in November.
Why did you start studying here?
Because I wanted to do my FCE but then they said CAE would be better – so now I’m practising for that.
What do you like about studying here?
I like talking in English mostly, and to upgrade my English – to make my English to something better.
What areas do you feel you have made progress in?
I’ve made progress in vocabulary and grammar, which were my weakest points.
Ok, that’s good that you knew that. How do you think English will help you in the future?
I want to go and study abroad so when I go I have to have good English and a good certificate to help me.
What advice would you give to younger / other students?
I’d tell them that English is not a waste of time, like many people think. That you should really learn from it because one day it’s going to be a global language.
